I grauated from UC Berkeley in 2006 with a B.A. in mathematics. (Unlike some other Letters and Sciences grads, I am not insecure about the "A".) I am now working at Google. I tend to keep a pen or pencil on me at all times, and if I have a backpack on, chances are it has a deck of cards in it.
I enjoy games and puzzles of all sorts. (Check out Clubs.) I've spent too much time solving Rubik's Cubes (of various sizes) and worked my way down to a 3x3x3 average of about 50 seconds before I broke my cube. I do cryptic crosswords in pencil. [Worms from Canada like using pen (8)]
Music's been a big part of my life, mostly through chorus. I do enjoy Guitar Hero and Rock Band, but since I sing bass, and the only instrument I play is the piano, I can't do any of it in real life. I also insist that I cannot dance without arrows scrolling on a screen in front of me.
I try to watch good films, listen to good music, and read good literature. In the theory that one's tastes can be an indication of oneself here are some recommendations. You'll notice that I read way too many webcomics.
About the site
This is the fifth major version of my personal webpage. The design has stayed more or less the same for some time, but the site is now running on a backend of Blogger and Google App Engine (using the Blogger Data API). Some background on the site can be found in this post.
